Geneva L. (Klinedinst) Hoff

YORK – Geneva L. (Klinedinst) Hoff, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Larry E. Hoff to whom she was married for 19 years. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George St., York with Rev. Beth A. Schlegel officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-2:30 PM Saturday at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 1, 1949 in Thomasville a daughter of the late Edwin A. and Barbara E. (Moul) Klinedinst, she was a 1967 graduate of Spring Grove High School. Mrs. Hoff retired from Boscov’s Dept. Store in February. She had previously worked at the former York Federal Savings and Loan and Spring Grove School District. Geneva served as Church Organist for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in York where she was also active with their handbell group and choir, and Paradise Holtzschwamm Lutheran Church in Thomasville. She was a member of American Guild of Organists and Choristers Guild. Mrs. Hoff is survived by a son, Bradley C. Beaverson of Claymont, DE; two daughters, Brenda A. and husband Jeff Decker of York and Beverly S. and husband Joseph Muth of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Nicholas and Grace Decker and Caroline, Elizabeth, Joseph, II and Anna Muth; a brother, Edwin Klinedinst, Jr. of York; four sisters, Janet Hansen of York, Mary and husband Ben Groupe of York, Verna and husband David Landry of Lancaster, and Arlene and husband Ron Gruver of Thomasville; and nieces and nephews.
