Gene E. Miller

York—Gene E. Miller, 86, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Phyllis R. (Brose) Miller to whom he was married for 63 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd is in charge of arrangements. Born September 22, 1929 in Adamsville, he was a son of the late Clarence S. H. and Minnie (Winters) Miller. He was employed by Pasch Enterprises, in charge of maintenance/grounds. A United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, he also was a member of the National Hot Rod Assoc., and drove stock cars for Meadowview Dairy for many years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Miller is also survived by one daughter, Christine L. Aldinger and her husband, Robert of York; two grandsons, Brock M. Miller of Shiloh and Heath A. Aldinger of Baltimore; one great granddaughter, Mattingly Christine Miller and nieces and nephews.
