Gen Louise Schlottag

YORK- Gen Louise (Baaske) Schlottag, 81, passed away at ManorCare Kingston Ct. after a lengthy illness. Gen Louise was born on August 7, 1927 in Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of the late Otto K. and Genevieve H. (Nutsky) Baaske. She later moved to Sandusky, Ohio and graduated from Sandusky High School. The family settled in York in 1962, and she was employed with Lehigh Cement Co. until she retired. Gen loved her family and her pets. She also loved to cook and dance. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, York. She is survived by a daughter, Amy Schlottagof York and a son, William Schlottag of York; a sister, Irene Heidl of Sandusky, OH; nieces, Julie Lober of York and Ann Marie Conaway of Columbus, OH; great nieces, Sara Lober and Lisa Hake of York; and other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A sister, Shirley Deme precedes her in death. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Rev. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, January 2, 2009.
