Gayle L. Snider

YORK - Gayle L. Snider, 40, of W. Manchester Twp., died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Mountain View Manor in Northumberland. A Celebration of Life service will be 10AM Saturday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Viewings will be from 6-8 PM Friday and 9-10 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt Rose Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Snider was born November 1, 1967 in York, a son of Thomas C. Snider of Hellam, and Donna "Dolly" (Seiple) Snider of Dover. He also leaves a step-father Glenn E. Sweitzer of Dover. Mr. Snider worked for Griffith Cadillac, Apple, Fred Gregg Buick, and Beasley Ford as an auto mechanic. He was a US Army Veteran of Desert Storm; a member of Shiloh American Legion and the Viking Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snider is survived by two sister, Kimberly Druck and her husband Shane of York, and Deborah Gotwalt and her husband Steven of Spring Grove; a brother, Michael T. Snider of Dover; a grandmother, Dolores (Bechtel) Snider of Hellam: a special Aunt, Dianne Shaeffer; a niece, Alexis Gotwalt; and other aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA or Hershey Medical Center.
