Gary Ray Pepo

WRIGHTSVILLE – Gary Ray Pepo, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his home.

Born November 19, 1955 in York, a son of the late Emory and Ruth F. (Leakway) Pepo; he was a graduate of Eastern York High School. Gary retired from Dallastown Area School District where he worked at Ore Valley Elementary School as a custodian and had previously worked at USA Direct for numerous years. He loved spending time on the open roads riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Mr. Pepo was a US Army veteran of The Vietnam War.

Mr. Pepo is survived by two daughters, Melanie A. and husband Cory Waltemyer of Mt. Wolf and Michelle E. and husband Jason Vogelsong of Dover; three grandchildren, Alicia Waltemyer, Keaton and Makayla Vogelsong; two great grandchildren, Raelynn and Brynlee; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Pepo; and a niece and nephews, Doug Pepo, Tracy Yost, and Kevin Pepo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Curvin “Skip” Pepo.

Tribute services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
