RED LION - Gary L. Witman, 66, passed away Friday, August 1, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Sue Ann (Kupp) Witman to whom he was married for 38 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Steven E. Thomas officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Born February 18, 1942 in Hellam, a son of the late Millard L. and Mary P. (Fink) Witman, he grew up in Hellam and attended Hellam High School. Mr. Witman had worked at Duplex Products in Emigsville for 27 years and later retired from the former Columbia Products in Dallastown. He was a life member of Kreutz Creek VFW, Red Lion Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and Red Lion Fire Co.; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains around Caledonia with his beloved grandson and his family. In addition to his wife, Mr. Witman is survived by a son, William A. and wife Krista Witman of Red Lion; a grandson, Tyler W. Witman; three brothers, Ronald E. Witman and fianc裠Ursula Flory of York, William D. Witman of Boston, Mass., and Donald G. and wife Andrea Witman of Manchester; a sister, Delores E. and the late Carson Kocher of Hellam; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Druck; and a brother, Millard L. Witman, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Lion VNA Hospice, 2 North Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356.
