Gail M. Spleen

POTTSVILLE - Gail M. Spleen, 62 of Palo Alto died on Friday morning at the home of her sister. Born in Pottsville on May 13, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Mark K. and Verna Kline Shadle. She was a 1969 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was a 1976 graduate of Empire Beauty School and owned the former Gail Marie Beauty Salon in Palo Alto. She graduated from Penn State Schuylkill with a degree in Paralegal and retired from the Schuylkill County Court House as a paralegal for the Schuylkill County Commissioners. On November 12, 1977 she married Frank P. Spleen, Palo Alto. She was a member of the Church of Saint Patrick. Gail loved the beach and loved her 2 sons and her dogs. In addition to her husband Frank of 35 years, Gail is survived by: two sons, Brent and his fiancé Melissa Leonard, Pottsville and Brandon, Pittsburgh; and a sister Gloria Jean Shadle, Mechanicsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 AM from the Church of Saint Patrick. Family and friends may call at the church from 9 AM until time of mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.A Memorial in Gail's name will be set up by the family at Saint Patrick's. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
