Frieda J. (Criswell) Keesey

Red Lion—Frieda J. (Criswell) Keesey, 89, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 Manor Care Health Services-South. She was the wife of the late Jack E. Keesey. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev. Kim Cartwright officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery. Born June 16, 1927 in York, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Florence E. (Runkle) Criswell. She was employed as a cigar box maker for 20 plus years with AutoKraft Box Corp until her retirement in 1989. A life-long member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Brogue, she also enjoyed bird watching. She loved music and had a very diverse collection, including her favorite, the Eagles and solo tracks by Don Henley. Mrs. Keesey is survived by two sons, Brian E. Keesey of Windsor and Wayne L. Criswell and his wife, Joyce of Red Lion; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, David, Robert and Vernon Criswell and two sisters, Hazel Gouker and Ferne Shermyer.
