Freida P. Ogden

Troy, Pennsylvania Freida P. Ogden, Age 89 of Route 6, Troy, PA passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 3PM on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3PM with Reverend Richard Noggle of the First United Methodist Church of Troy officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. Freida was born July 7, 1919 in Berrytown, PA daughter of the late Wesley and Grace Allen Berry. She was a graduate Troy High School and Mansfield Teachers College and began her career in teaching. She taught in Wetona, PA, East Troy, PA and finished her career as a first grade teacher in Troy School District. Her memberships included the Troy United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Thursday Study Club. She especially enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law Ruth & Carl Pierce of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, nephews, William & Elizabeth Pierce of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Donald Berry of Chicago, IL, niece, Ilona & John Krivicich of Chicago, IL, several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her parents, husband Raymond Ogden and a brother Donald J. Berry, predeceased Freida.
