Freida Elizabeth (Groff) Posey

RED LION- Freida Elizabeth Groff Posey died on Monday, February 18, 2008. She was the wife of the late Bruce A Posey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service. Mrs. Posey was born and raised on a farm in Quarryville, the daughter of the late Newton S. and Esther (McKinney) Groff. Freida was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion. In her later years she enjoyed caring for the elderly. Mrs. Posey is survived by two sons, Nevin L of Fleetwood and David K of Plano, Texas; three daughters, Cathie Posey Goulding of Holland, Pamela Posey Snyder of Harrisburg, and Trudi Posey Zanfini of New York, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Posey of York; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church Heating Fund, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356; or McKendree United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302.
