MILTON - Frederick Paul "Butch" Zimmerman, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Manor Care Health Services, Sunbury, PA. This handsome man and awesome dancer was born on May 12, 1943 in Milton and was the precious son of the late Henry and Frances (Folk) Zimmerman. Fred was a 1962 graduate of the Milton Area High School. He had served five years in the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Germany and Korea. He had retired in 2008 from ACF Industries after 42 years of service. Fred was a life member of the Elks #913, member of the Moose, Milton Lodge 171, the Milton VFW and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Vivian J. (Schmaus) Zimmerman who he had married on February 22, 1983, breaking a marital union of 26 years. Having a love for animals and his devoted three cats; Tinker, Trouble and Squeaky, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to any SPCA of your choice or to the Lewisburg Cancer Center, 210 Jpm Rd., Suite 200, Lewisburg, PA 17837. In keeping with Fred's wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. The services will be private and held at the family's convenience. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.
