Frederick 'Fritz' L. Frey

Frey, 95, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at York Hospital as the result of injuries received in a car accident on March 3rd of this year. Mr. Frey was born March 21, 1916 in Windsor, PA, a son of the late Harry J. and Lillie M. (Barnhart) Frey. He worked for Caterpillar as a Machine Operator for over 10 years until his retirement in 1979. He was a life member of the Red Lion Elks Lodge No. 1592 and a member of Craley Fish and Game. Mr. Frey was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed reading as well as spending time with his family. Mr. Frey served our country in the US Navy as a Gunnermate 2nd class during WWII from 1942-1945. Services will be private at the request of the family. Mr. Freys family will be hosting a gathering of friends and family at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Frey is survived by one son, Terry L. Frey and wife Bonnie of Windsor; one daughter, Jean A. Billet and husband Skip of Windsor; 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Maria, Duane, Vanissa, and Ginger; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lamar J. Frey and wife Brenda of Windsor. Mr. Frey was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, William Frey, Hilda M. Bahn, Glenn Frey and Joan Dellinger.
