Frederick E. Kessler

YORK- Frederick E. Kessler, 87 passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Colonial Manor in York. He was the husband of Jean M. (Trite) Kessler. The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on August 6, 2017. Mr. Kessler was born in Spring Grove on April 26, 1930, the son of Frederick A. and Bulah M. (Rohrbaugh) Kessler. He retired after 38 years from Standard Register Company, where he was the Eastern Traffic Manager. Mr. Kessler was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in York. He was past president of the Gettysburg Region Antique Automobile Club of America of Hershey, where he was active since 1980. He was a member of the Hershey Antique Car Museum and also served as a past president of York Traffic Club. Mr. Kessler leaves three sons, Fred E. Kessler, II and his wife Rose of York; Scott H. Kessler of Stewartstown; and Patrick A. Kessler and his wife Martha of San Carlos, CA; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, or American Cancer Society. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be a private family service.
