WINDSOR- Frederick D. Bahn, 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the York Lutheran Home. He was the husband of Frances C. (Stuart) Bahn. The couple wed on March 27, 1946. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, with his pastor, the Reverend Anthony Zumbo officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Bahn was born on January 8, 1919 in Windsor, a son of the late Charles R. and Hettie R. (Smith) Bahn. Frederick was co-owner of Bahn’s Mill. Mr. Bahn was a member of Windsor Church of God. He had a strong faith and was a former Deacon. Mr. Bahn served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he landed on the beaches of Normandy. Frederick enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Frederick Bahn will leave a high standard for honesty and integrity. Along with his wife, Frances, Frederick is survived by a son, Craig Bahn and his wife, Vickie of Windsor; two grandchildren, Jessica and Ginny Bahn; and two great grandchildren, Josie and Isaiah. He was preceded in death by a brother, Burnell Bahn; and a sister, Margaret Shindler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Church of God, 1125 Manor Rd., Windsor, PA 17366. Frederick’s legacy will not be forgotten.
