BURLINGTON-Frederick A. Rogers, 65, of Burlington, PA, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Fred's life will be held at 12:00 PM on December 17th at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Noggle of the First United Methodist Church of Troy, PA, officiating. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of Fred's family. Fred was born on January 12, 1944 in Sayre, PA, son of the late Vernon and Betty (DeWitt) Rogers. He was employed in the Pre-Vocational Workshop of Serve, Inc. He enjoyed horses, animals of any kind, babies, movies, shopping, eating out at McDonalds, and attending events sponsored by the Rercreational Committee. Fred is survived by his surrogate family and devoted caregivers of thirteen years: Max and Cecelia Belawske and family of Burlington, special friend Mary Patton of Burlington, and all his friends at Futures Community Support Services, Inc. and Serve, Inc., his sisters: Verna Rogers of Jacksonville, FL, and Kathleen Chapman of Athens, PA, his brother Vernon Rogers, Jr. of Athens, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made in Fred's memory to Futures Community Rercreational Committee, 23 Main Street, Towanda, PA 18848.
