Frederic Stephen Montoro was born in York on October 14, 1945. He was the son of the late Fred Montoro and Alice Ruth (McClure) Montoro.

Frederic was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School (Class of 1963), a veteran of the United States Air Force (1966 -1970) and the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 193rd Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (during the 1980’s). Frederic is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Doris (Emenheiser); his sons Jason (51) and Clinton (47), his daughters-in-law Mary Anne (wife of Jason) and Tracy (wife of Clinton); and his grandchildren Rebecca (20), Samantha (20), Lucas (18), and Katherine (16). Also, he is survived by sisters Sandra (wife of Donald Hanky) and Susan (wife of Joseph Detorie); along with his stepmother (Karen Montoro); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law (Elsie Emenheiser, George and Linda Emenheiser, Helen and Eric Lichty, Mary Emenheiser, Kate Emenheiser, and David Emenheiser); and many nieces and nephews.
