Fred M. Straub

Milton - Fred M. Straub, 93 a former resident of Milton died, Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Fort Meade Veterans Medical Center, South Dakota. He was born March 26, 1916 in Milton to John and Lois Mae (Balliet) Staub. Fred was raised in Milton. He served in the US Army during WWII. In 1958 he moved from Milton to Nisland, SD. He is survived by one brother Andrew J. (Wilma) Straub of Nisland, SD one nephew, Winfred L. "Fred" Straub of Central City, SD and two nieces, Gladys Cowley of Kettle Falls, WA and Marjorie Stork of Mandan, ND A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Harmony Cemetery, Milton with military honors. Pastor Amelia A. Shivers will officiate the service. Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton has charge of arrangements.
