Fred E. Miller

YORK- Fred E. Miller, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services- South in York. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, with a visitation from 6:00-7:00 PM. Karen L. Miller will be officiating the service. A private burial will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Fred was born March 25, 1945, the son of the late Stewart Miller and Katie (Krout) Miller. He retired from the York City Fire Department after 30 years of service. Fred served our country in the United States Navy. Fred was a member of the Shiloh American Legion, the Vigilant Social Club and the Liberty Social Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching and attending NASCAR races. Fred leaves a son, Scott E. Miller, of Washington D.C.; a daughter, Karen L. Miller, of Columbia; a grandson, Ethan T. Miller, and two sisters Evelyn Forry and Verna “Mert” Heidelbaugh.
