SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Franklin V. Williams, 90, died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Williamsport Home. He was married to the former Ann T. (Weber) on June 24, 1967 who survives and have celebrated 47 years as husband and wife. Franklin was born on December 10, 1924 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Frank and Iva Amanda (Variot) Williams. He graduated from Williamsport High School and obtained his business degree from Lycoming College. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during WWII. Franklin owned and operated the Williamsport Insurance Agency and then retired from Merchant & Businessmen of Harrisburg in 1986. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, Knights of Columbus, Cochran Post #1 American Legion and the Alumni Association at Lycoming College. He enjoyed hunting, the Phillies, Lycoming football and golf. In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law; Helen and Jim Bongiovi of Norfolk, VA and Sylvia and Sonny Garman of Pittsburgh and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Blair Williams, two step brothers; Earl and Bud Williams, two sisters; Alberta Coder and E. Jane Muir and one step sister; Louise Mignot. There will be a memorial mass held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport with the Reverend Brian Van Fossen officiating. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery with military honors. The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be made to the church, and send to 711 West Edwin St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.
