Franklin Boone H. Hill

Pottsville- Franklin H. "Boone" Hill, 84, of Pottsville, passed away Monday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Harrisburg, PA on September 21, 1925, he was a son of the late Warren and Edith Bowen Hill. Frank attended Schuylkill Haven Schools until he entered the Navy. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart. Frank was a brakeman for the Reading Railroad/Conrail where he worked for 41 years until he retired in 1987. He was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven. He was a member of Schuylkill Lodge 138 F. & A.M. He was also a member of the Pottsville Club. Frank was precede in death by his sister, Doris Laubenstine and his brother Gerald Hill. Frank is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean M. Meiswinkle Robitaille Hill, of Pottsville; his step daughter, Sharon M. Robitaille Connell, wife of George R., of Frederick, MD; his step son, Glenn Robitaille, husband of Julie, of Dunellen, NJ; his 7 grandchildren, Shannon M., George H., Timothy A. and Eilleen B. Connell and Gabrielle, Danielle and Michael Robitaille; his sister Marion Miller, of Schuylkill Haven ; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market streets, Pottsville. Reverend Daniel Bell will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 10:30. Interment with Military Honors will be held in St, John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
