MILTON- -Franklin A. Bennage, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born June 26, 1928 in Muncy a son of the late Ernest C. and Grace B. (Keiser) Bennage. Franklin was married on March 19, 1950 to the former Virginia Ruth Rohland who died February 26, 2011. Her death broke a marital union of 60 years. He spent most of his life working at the former Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg retiring in 1991. Franklin was a WWII veteran serving in the Army. He served in the 109th Infantry Division. His passions include hunting, fishing and restoring classic cars. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Bruce W. and Joan Bennage, Rich Bennage and Ernest A. and Charlene Bennage, all of Milton, five grandchildren; Yvette Bennage, Ricki Bennage and his wife Lisa, Rodney Bennage, Alicia Bennage and Melissa Bilger and her husband Chris, and two great-grandchildren; Aubrie Bilger and Alyssa Bennage. Three brothers Elwood of Danville, Kenneth of Middleburg and Leon of Salisbury, MD also three sisters Jean of Salisbury, MD and Dianne and Betty both of Middleburg. Besides his wife and parents two sisters Lucy and Emma preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street Milton. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
