Frank T. Geiger, Iii

SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP- Frank T. Geiger, III, 64 of York, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Cathy A. (Odell) Geiger. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 21, 2013. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Keith Berkheiser, II will be officiating at the service. Full military honors will be provided at the start of the service by York County Veteran’s Honor Guard. Mr. Geiger was born in Columbia, PA on October 14, 1949, the son of the late Frank T. Geiger, Jr. and Velma (Ream) Ritchey. He was a contract mail hauler for the US Postal Service in Lancaster. Mr. Geiger was a member of Hellam VFW Post #556 and the American Legion. He served in the US Marine Corps in the Vietnam War and then in the Army National Guard from 1992-1998. Mr. Geiger leaves two sons, Jared T. Geiger of Martin, TN and Brian J. Geiger of Dover; four grandchildren, Devon, Brianna, Brandon, and Jared, Jr.; three brothers, Russ Geiger, Robert Ritchey, Jr. and Richard Ritchey, all of Lancaster, and three sisters, Mary Hershey of Lancaster, Janis Pope of Denver, and Valerie Trimble of Lancaster.
