North Bend - Frank "Dean" Scott, age 89, died at Geisinger Medical Center on Thursday, April 17, 2008. He was born in Renovo on May 29, 1918, son of the late George Raymond and Eleanor (Dean) Scott. Dean was a graduate of Renovo High School, member of Zion Lutheran Church, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was a life member and Post Quartermaster (1991-1995) of the Lock Haven American Legion Post 1630, a member of the Renovo American Legion-Post 442- for over 60 years, F.& A.M. Lodge #495 member for over 50 years, served as Chapman Township supervisor for many years, and was a dedicated member of the Chapman Township Fire Dept. and the Chapman Township Water Authority. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. Dean loved traveling and dancing, and could always be seen walking around North Bend to acquire the latest "news." On March 20, 1983, Frank married Theresa Jane Tate in Clearwater, Fla. They celebrated 25 years together this past March. Jane survives in North Bend. Also surviving are his sons: Larry (Jean) McKeague of Mill Hall, Jeffry McKeague of Lock Haven, and A. Kirk (Diane) McKeague of Loganton, daughter: Susan (Charles) Clements of Lock Haven, sister: Virginia "Ginny" (Lester) Weinheimer of Buffalo, N.Y., nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded by a sister Eleanor and a brother Raymond "Bud". The family will receive friends at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St. Renovo from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Masonic services will be held at 7:45 P.M. and military services at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Private family interment will take place in Rest Haven Memorial Park at the family's convenience.
