YORK- Frank Joseph Motto, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2023, following a valiant battle with myelofibrosis.
Born to Frank Sr. & Romaine (Piatkowski) in Jersey City, NJ, Frank graduated from Key West High School in 1959 and earned a BS in Marketing & Finance at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he played varsity basketball.
Active in sports through his forties, Frank also enjoyed softball and bowling. He loved to travel and visited Italy, Sicily, Greece, Ireland, England, Scotland, China, Mexico, and many of the Caribbean Islands.
Frank worked with Canteen Corp. before joining the E & J Gallo Winery. He established his own food brokerage company based in Texas where he lived for 25 years.
Frank is survived by his wife of 42 years, Katherine (Campbell), his brother John “Jack” (Natalie Hernandez) and sister Patricia Watts; two children, Michael Whitmore, Vanessa (Michael Garriss), five grandchildren, Alexis (Dakota Curry), James, Gabrielle, Hope, Grace, and a great-grandchild, Serena. He was preceded in death by a son, Frank “Frankie”, III.
