Frank G. Lane, Jr.

POTTSVILLE- Frank G. Lane, Jr., 67, of Woodland Acres, passed away Thursday evening at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown. Born in Hershey on May 11, 1944, he was a son of Sylvania Jennings, of Pottsville and the late Frank G. Lane Sr. Frank was a graduate of Milton S. Hershey High School, Hershey. He was an Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard at Indiantown Gap. He was an avid award-winning bowler having played in several leagues. He was a black belt having instructed karate classes. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Frank is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marianne Cherepan Lane, of Woodland Acres; his two daughters, Angel N. Lane, of San Francisco, CA, and Jennifer Shappel, companion of Matt Olenick, of Pottsville; his two sons, John Lane, husband of Bonnie, of Frackville, and Michael Lane, of Berks County; his two grandchildren, Tyler and Kailey; his faithful dog, Wrigley; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville, with Reverend Harold L. Hand officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment with Military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
