Frank E. Hazlehurst

YORK- Frank E. Hazlehurst, 93, died on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Country Meadows Trolley Rd. He was the husband of the late Cecelia (Miller) Hazlehurst. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Jessica R. Smith officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Greenmount Cemetery. Born on August 6, 1924 in York, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Albright) Hazlehurst. Frank was a Field Service Superintendent for Voith Hydro, Inc., formerly S. Morgan Smith until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Hazlehurst was a member of the Viking Athletic Association, Prince Athletic Association and Shiloh American Legion Post 791. Frank loved sports especially horseracing and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed traveling the world for work, installing turbines in hydroelectric dams. Mr. Hazlehurst is survived by his sister in law, Janet Hazlehurst of Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Hazlehurst; and sister Jean Dubbs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of your choice. So long for now.
