Francis R. Martinick

YORK- Francis R. Martinick, 65, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Betty A. (Wilkins) Martinick. The couple wed on December 1, 1972. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Dennis A. Hummel officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Born on October 15, 1951, he was the son of the late George and Betty (Harde) Martinick. Francis served our country in the United States Navy and retired after 20 years of service. After the Navy, Francis was optician for LensCrafters. Mr. Martinick enjoyed traveling to wineries and breweries and also enjoyed watching classic movies. Along with his wife, Betty, Francis is survived by one son, Jeffrey Martinick and his significant other, Tricia Ellis of York; one daughter, Jennifer Donagher and husband, Brent of Windsor; three grandchildren, Leann Murphy, Brooke Donagher and Dylan Donagher; and two sisters, Nancy Mays and her husband, Gene of Trinity, NC and June Oltmanns and her husband, Bob of Chester,WV.
