BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP-Francis "Rick" P. Wright, 63, of Bear Creek Township, passed away August 24, 2010, at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 4, 1947, he was a son of the late Francis and Irene (Nelson) Wright. After graduating high school, Rick went to plumbing school and completed a 5 year apprenticeship. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Vietnam War. Rick worked most of his life as a plumber and was a member of Pipefitters and Plumbers Local Union 524, Wilkes-Barre. He later worked at Penn State Mechanical. He was also a Pennsylvania State Constable for Bear Creek Township for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, the former Nancy A. Kemmerer, would have celebrated their 40th anniversary on Sunday, August 30th. In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his son, Shawn Wright and wife Jessica, Hanover Township; daughters, Michele Piazza and husband Dennis, Sweet Valley; Patricia Kresge and husband Richard, White Haven; and Laura Vincavage, Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Bobby, Sean, R.J., Kris, Hannah, Marianna, Kayla, and Nathan; sisters, Eileen Tamanini and husband Al, Trucksville; Daria Jane, Florida; and Michele Gardner and husband Robert, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, between 6 to 8 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
