Mill Hall Francis P. "Pug" Stevenson, 82 passed away, Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Lock Haven Hospital where he was a patient since Monday. He was in ill health for the past two years and was and was lovingly cared for by his wife. Pug was born February 23, 1926 in Mill Hall the son of the late Richard and Ollie (Bower) Stevenson. He was married on September 3, 1949 to the former Ann E. McGill. They would have celebrated 59 years of marriage together this September. He worked at the former University Ford as a salesman and prior to that he was an agent with American General Life. He was a member of Mill Hall Church of Christ. Pug was a former mayor of Mill Hall and he enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandson and great-grandsons. He was an avid golfer and was an Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan. He served in the Air Force during WWII. Surviving are his loving wife Ann, two daughters Joanne (Don) Whitman of York and Susan "Sug" Stevenson of Stewartstown, PA One grandson Donnie (Kelle) Whitman of Ogden, NY and three great-grandsons Alex, Kyle and Ryan. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers Leroy "Toot", Hill, Thomas, Dean and Richard also 2 sisters Dorothy Galbraith and Mary Robb. The funeral service will be held 8:00 P.M., Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
