RENOVO - Francis J. Lovett, 91, died Sunday, August 20, 2017. Another soldier gone Preceded in death by father Charles Lovett and mother Anne Lovett, brother Timer Lovett, son Chuck Lovett and wife Donna Lovett. Survived by sisters Mary Ann Stine and Betty Cartwright, daughter Kim Lovett Banfer husband Franklin and son Jeff Lovett and wife Kathy. Grandchildren Shawn Lovett, Renovo, Ryan Lovett, Duryer , Eric Lovett, Alex Lovett, Renovo, attorney Jonathon Boroski, Zurich Switzerland, Sarah Boroski, New York City, NY., attorney Franklin Banfer III, Harrisburg, Tanya Giuliani, Williamsport, and great grandson Shawn Lovett, Renovo, Rebecca and Reese Lovett. Francis enlisted in the Navy at age 17 in 1944. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the Navy, Army and Air Force and the Army National Guard. After retirement for the armed forces he enjoyed a career with the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was also active in several organizations such as a member of the Marine Corp League, vice commander of the VFW and commander of the American Legion in Renovo. He was very devoted to all the armed forces as well as the community of Renovo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with the Rev. Norman Ingram officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors.
