Francis H. Letcavage POTTSVILLE- Francis H. Letcavage, 81, of Auburn, passed away Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on November 27, 1930, he was a son of Margaret “Anna” SnyderLetkiewicz, 100,of Auburn, and the late Francis A. Letkiewicz. He was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School. Francis was a Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. He retired from the Orwigsburg Post Office, where he was postmaster. He had worked for the postal service for 35 years. He was a member of Saint Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven. He was a member of Schuylkill County Postmasters Association, NAPUS, Alexandria, VA, VFW, American Legion and the Deer Lake/West Brunswick Fire Company. In addition to his mother, Francis is survived by his wife, Reba L. Moyer Letcavage, to whom he was married 55 years on January 5; his daughter, Coleen Hinkel, wife of Eric, of Auburn; his four sons, Stephen F. Letcavage, Husband of Martha, of Deer Lake, Leon Letcavage, husband of Elizabeth, of New Cumberland, PA, Neil Letcavage, husband of Michele, of Souderton, PA and Alan Letcavage, husband of Gretchen, of Sinking Spring, PA; his 10 grandchildren; his two great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 A.M. at Saint Ambrose Church, 201 Randel Street, Schuylkill Haven. There will no calling hours on Saturday morning at the church. A memorial service will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Entombment with Military Honors will be held on Saturday morning following the Mass in Saint Ambrose Mausoleum, Cressona.
