Francis G. Wesner

YORK – Francis G. Wesner, 78, passed away Wednesday June 25, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Lois A. (Slotterback) Wesner with whom he would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on July 2nd. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. David’s Evangelical Congregational Church, 2411 Oakland Road, Dover with Rev. Sterling Trimmer, Jr. officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 16, 1936 in Ashland, PA a son of the late Walter and Thelma (Oakum) Wesner, he retired from Federal Paper Board. Francis had been a member at St. David’s ECC for over 50 years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wesner is survived by three sons, Lee Wesner, Gary Wesner, and Kevin and wife Crystal Wesner; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Lee Wesner; and four sisters, Thelma Miller, Arlene Seedor, Shirley Klemas, and Tina Stankcavage. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
