Francine H. (Horn) Throne

YORK- Francine H. (Horn) Throne, 59, died on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services-North. She was the wife of Richard E. Throne. The couple wed on March 3, 1973. A celebration of tribute service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with her pastor, the Reverend Lin Carlson officiating. A viewing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Born on June 1, 1954 in York, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Suzanne (Genin) Horn. Francine worked in business banking for over 35 years and was most recently employed by Sovereign Bank. Mrs. Throne was a member of Zion U.C.C. She was also a member of Leadership York, and Windy Hills and Church of the Open Door knitting clubs. Along with knitting, Francine enjoyed arts and crafts and card club. Along with her husband, Richard, Francine is survived by a son, Andrew Throne and his wife, Shannon of York; a daughter, Allison Altland and her husband, Jeremiah of York; two grandchildren, Corey S. Throne and Hayden Altland; one brother, Robert Horn of York; her aunt and uncle, Monique and Ed Beck; and a cousin, Jackie James.
