Frances P. (Petertyl) Lee

YORK - Frances Pauline (Petertyl) Lee, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services- Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Wayne A. Lee, Sr., who passed away on February 29, 1976. Born November 15, 1920 in Binghamton, New York, she a daughter of the late George I. and Helene A.J. (Gaudin) Petertyl. She graduated from high school in 1938 and Cornell University in 1944. In addition to raising five children, she enjoyed music, swimming, her church and her family. Fran is survived by four children, Wayne A. Lee, Jr. and his wife Jayne, Virginia L. Potenza and her husband Sam, James M. Lee and his husband, Jan and Anne L. Krobock and her husband David; a brother Louis A. Petertyl; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Fran was preceded in death by a son, Larry G. Lee and a sister, Marcelle P. Kalmbacher. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be at 11 AM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin Street, Jacobus, with her Pastor, The Reverend Kevin L. Becker, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fran's memory to the Jacobus Village Library, 35 N. Main Street, #C, Jacobus, PA 17407.
