Frances Marie (Dibble) Allen Kilgore

TROY - Frances Marie (Dibble) Allen Kilgore, Age 91 of Burlington, PA passed away Thursday August 2, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call Monday, August 6, 2012 from 10 to 11 AM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 AM with her longtime friend Reverend Jasper Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA. Frances was born January 1, 1921 in Burlington Township, PA daughter of the late Ralph & Gladys (Hoffman) Dibble. She was married to the late Martin J. Allen from 1939 to 1951. She later was married to the late Elton Kilgore from 1965 to 1977. In her earlier days she was employed by the East Troy Diner, Bradford County Bookmobile, Flickingers / Hurley’s Super Duper and Trehab in Troy, PA. Frances was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She found sincere pleasure in meeting new people and having many friends. She was a member of the Troy American Legion Auxiliary, Troy Fire Department Auxiliary. Her other interest included Bowling and was a fabulous cook, always cooking from scratch and not recipes. Survivors include her son Gerald V. Allen of Towanda, PA, a daughter, Cherie L. (Terry Sultzbaugh) Bronson of Burlington, PA, a step-daughter, Alice Geraldine Renzo of Burlington, PA, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, Frances was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, a sister Eloise Spencer, and her daughter-in-law, Audrey Allen.
