Frances June (Stauch) Szczepanek

Frances June (Stauch) Szczepanek, 91, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Autumn House West. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Szczepanek, to whom she was married for 52 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with her pastor, the Reverend Kevin T. Shively officiating. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Born on December 27, 1925 in York, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Luckenbaugh) Stauch. Mrs. Szczepanek was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York where she was involved with the Half Century Club. She was also a member of Shiloh American Legion #791 Ladies’ Auxiliary. Most importantly, she enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Szczepanek is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Brenneman and husband, Joel of York and Lisa Mease and husband, Jerry of York; four grandchildren, Ryan Brenneman and wife, Colleen, Adam Brenneman, Alyssa Elliot and husband, Nathan and Daniel Mease; three great grandchildren, Daxton, Sawyer and Torin Brenneman; one brother, Donald Stauch; two sisters, Elizabeth Thomas and Doris Lau; and many nieces and nephews.
