Frances H. (Heckman) Paciga

WILKES-BARRE-Frances H. Paciga, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, May 15, 2009. Born in Wilkes-Barre on July 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Susan (Miall) Heckman. She was a graduate of Meyers High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to retiring in 1972, she was employed as a registered nurse. Frances was an active member of the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter and the Penns Woods Girl Scout Council. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas "Moe" Paciga and her infant sister, Ruth Elizabeth. Surviving are her daughters, Betsy Cerullo, Woodbridge, VA; Susan Paciga, Nicholson; grandson Captain Anthony Cerullo, Jr., United States Army, serving in Iraq. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter, 165 Hanover Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend William S. Marshall, Jr., will be celebrant and the Reverend Daniel V. Fitzsimmons will be co-celebrant and preacher. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
