Frances C. 'Fran' (Wilhelm) Burke

Frances C. “Fran” (Wilhelm) Burke, 63, passed away after a 56 year battle with diabetes. Fran was married 29 years to the late Russell E. Burke, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2012 at Mount Rose Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM Monday at the Mount Rose Entrance of the Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 16, 1948 in York a daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Brillhart) Wilhelm, she was a 1966 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and had attended Thompson’s Business Institute. Fran was employed by WORK radio station for six years, and the former PA & S Small Co. for 26 years. She retired from Regents Glen Country Club where she had worked for eight years. Mrs. Burke served as secretary of the 25 Year Club of PA & S Small Co. and was vice-president of the community association for Park View at Tyler Run. She is survived by a niece, Heather Myers of York; a nephew, Timothy Myers of York; and three very close cousins, Linda Henning, Janice Brown, and Teresa Watson all of York.
