Floyd Reynolds

DOVER - Floyd Reynolds, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Ethel Mae (Wilson) Reynolds. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Cityview Community Church, 1655 Roosevelt Ave., York with Pastor Stephen J. Kurtz officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 25, 1927 in Harriman, TN a son of the late Roscoe A. and Minnie (Coker) Reynolds, he retired from Danskin, Inc. in 2002 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Cityview Community Church and had proudly served with the US Merchant Marines. Mr. Reynolds is survived by a son, Jonathan F. and wife Jenni Reynolds of Dover; three daughters, Paulette and husband Richard Eppley of Dover, Inez and husband David Compton of Cohutta, GA, and Bonita R. Smith of Dover; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four sisters, Nadine Jewett of Kingston, TN, Ada Edwards and Margaret Huckleby both of Coalfield, TN, and Oveline Galbrath of Oak Ridge, TN.
