Floyd Mervin Williams

LEWISBERRY- Floyd Mervin Williams, 79, died at home with his family and friends by his side on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was the husband of Shirley Ann (Reinecker) Williams. The couple planned to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary on October 9th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry with Pastor Jonathan W. Bream officiating. A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on March 10, 1942 in Etters, he was the son of the late Mervin and Jennifer Williams. Floyd was a tool and die maker for Berg Electronics. Mr. Williams served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter. Along with his wife, Shirley, Floyd is survived by two daughters, Sherri Oyler and her husband, George of Lewisberry and Kimberly Bucher and her husband, Christopher of Carlisle; nine grandchildren, Leanna, Tyler, Austin, Katelynn, Joshua, James, Jr., Skylar, Hailey and Wyoming; three great grandchildren, Kayden, Madison, and Stella; and two sisters, Aquilla Williams of Saint Marie’s, ID and Edna Thomas of York. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Schreiber; two brothers; and nine sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Pkwy #110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
