WELLSBURG, NY- Reynolds, Floyd Arthur "Butch", Jr. of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at his residence. Floyd was born on July 2, 1942 in Waverly, NY. He was the son of the late Floyd Arthur and Beatrice Mae (Bennett) Reynolds, Sr. Floyd was a graduate of Waverly Senior High School, class of 1960, and retired as a 1st Class Chief Petty Officer and Radar Chief for the United States Navy. He served his country in the Vietnam War. Floyd was a faithful member and the caretaker of Christ Episcopal Church in Wellsburg, NY where he was also a Warden and Lay Reader. He was also financial auditor for the Chemung Valley Cluster of Episcopal Churches. Floyd Arthur "Butch" Reynolds is survived by his brothers: Lewis Charles (Janet) Reynolds of Lone Star, TX, and David Duane (Linda) Reynolds of Cason, TX, his sister Sylvia Isabel (Howard) Vrooman of Hughes Springs, TX along with several nieces and nephews. His parents, and a nephew David Duane Reynolds, II, preceded him in death. Cremation will take place with the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Floyd's family is planning a memorial service at his church at a later time with burial in Tioga Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Floyd's name to the Christ Episcopal Church, 280 Main Street Wellsburg, NY 14894.
