Flossie (Collier) Stottlemyer Gentzler

YORK - Flossie M. (Collier) Stottlemyer Gentzler, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Seaton Springwood. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Stottlemyer and the late Robert Gentzler.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, with a visitation from 12:00-1 PM. Pastor Josh Kleinfeld will be officiating the service. Burial will be private at the family’s convenience.

Born June 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Luddie (Shifflett) Collier.

Flossie was employed with New York Wire Cloth as a prethreader for several years, later retiring in 1991. She was a member of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene since 1955. Flossie had so much strength in her faith and lived her life around it. She worked with the daycare at Stillmeadow, as well as working as a Sunday School teacher. In her free time, Flossie enjoyed physical activity; walking, roller skating, and ice skating. She was described as a very generous, caring woman.

Mrs. Stottlemyer is survived by her sons Bradley S. Stottlemyer of York and James R. Collier of Florida; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Roach of York; as well as several nieces and nephews. Flossie is preceded in death by her granddaughter Kimberly Snellbaker; as well as four brothers, Edward, Floyd, George, and Irving Collier.
