Florence M. (Spangler) Wintermyer

LEWISBERRY - Florence M. (Spangler) Wintermyer, 87, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at Holy Spirit Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Wintermyer. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 15, 2009 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry with Rev. J. Arthur Mott officiating. Viewings will be held from 7-9:00 PM Thursday and 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Mrs. Wintermyer was born June 25, 1921 in Maytown, PA a daughter of the late Harry and Dora (Sunday) Spangler. Throughout her life she had worked at York Cigar Factory, York Suit Factory, York Fair, Mt. Wolf Dress Factory, New Cumberland Box and Cigar Factories, New Cumberland Moulding Co., Newberrytown Aerosol, Mechanicsburg and Newberry Dress Factories, and Dillsburg Shoe Factory. She was a member of Red Land Valley Brethren in Christ Church. Mrs. Wintermyer is survived by a son, Rodney E. Wintermyer of Coral Springs, FL; two daughters, Patsy M. and husband Gary Drake of York Haven and Lindy D. Hess of Lewisberry; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a sister, Ethel Snavely of Manchester. She was preceded in death by a son, Garry L. Wintermyer, a grandson, Curtis Wintermyer; and a great granddaughter, Hailey Evans.
