Florence M. (Munson) Walter

TURBOTVILLE - Florence M. (Munson) Walter, 92, died Thursday, December 03, 2015 at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg. She was born on July 29, 1923 and was the daughter of the late George L. and Ida R. (Williams) Munson. On May 10, 1947 Florence married the late Blaine Walter and they celebrated 47 years of marriage together until his death on February 17, 1995. She was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1941 and a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Milton for over 50 years. Florence and her husband worked together on their family farm in Turbotville for many years. She enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, Florida and Las Vegas to visit family, going on bus trips, going out to eat, riding motorcycles with her sons, walking with her sisters, going to church on Sundays but most of all Florence enjoyed spending time with her family. Florence is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; John S. and Sharon Walter of Milton, Richard J. Walter and Robert L. Walter both of Turbotville, one daughter; Barbie J. Bull of Las Vegas, Nevada, nine grandchildren; Jamie Taylor, Todd Bull, Bradley Bull, Chad Bull, Tracey Lord, Christie Hitchcock, Christopher Walter, Michelle McHale and Debra Dorkoski, 15 great grandchildren, one sister; Betty L. Hillsey of Watsontown, one sister-in-law; Sally Ruhl of Lewisburg along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by five brothers; George, Earl, Paul, Richard and Oris Munson and one sister; Audrey Herbst. A gathering of friends and family will take place 11:00a.m. – 12:00p.m., Monday, December 07, 2015 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 12:00p.m. with pastor Dale Hippensteel officiating. Burial will take place in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery at a later time at the convenience of the family.
