Florence 'Fern' Kemfort Haney

POTTSVILLE- Florence “Fern” Kemfort Haney, 87, resident of Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, formerly of Seltzer City, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in Schuylkill Haven on August 15, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude Mohl Fisher. Fern retired from Van Heusen, formerly of Pottsville, after 27 years of service. She was of the Lutheran faith. In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard G. Kemfort, who passed away in 1969; her second husband, James Haney, who passed away in 2000; her son, Richard G. Kemfort; her two sisters, Doris Garrett and Cynthia Eckert; her five brothers, Kenneth, George, Warren, Lamar and Lester Fisher. She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Ann Subach, wife of Leonard, of Massillon, OH, and Edith Crittenden, wife of James, of Jamesville, Wisconsin; her four grandchildren; her two great grandchildren; her sister Harriet “Pat” Davis, wife of Jack, of Pottsville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside Interment services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. in Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville. Online condolences may be sent bestlifetributes.com.
