Florence E. Dikun

Florence E. (Kilmurray) Dikun, 92, of Pottsville, passed away on Tuesday evening, Sept. 10 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, August 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Edna (Schoch) Kilmurray. She was a 1939 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, George Dikun, who passed away Oct. 20, 1996; her two brothers, Andrew and John Kilmurray and sister Dorothy Shaffer. Florence is survived by her two sons, Charles Dikun of Bernville, PA and Michael Dikun of Reno, NV; sister, Edna Frie, Pottsville; sister in law Ann Kilmurray, Pottsville, four grandchildren, Brian Dikun, Kathleen Dikun, Kevin Dikun and Elliot Lindsey, two great grandchildren, Chase and Brayden Dikun and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville, with Reverend Harold L. Hand officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Senior programs. Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
