Florence E. Bortner

YORK- Florence Elaine (Russell) Bortner, 94, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Country Meadows in York. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Bortner, Sr. Mrs. Bortner was born on October 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Heim) Russell. She worked as a first deputy to the Recorder of Deed in York County. Mrs. Bortner had been a member of Heidelburg United Church of Christ in York. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Bortner leaves three sons, Dan Bortner and his wife Marti of New Oxford, Jeffrey Bortner and his wife Donna, and Bob Bortner, Jr. and his wife Susan of East York; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jackie Lauer.
