Ferne R. (Emig) Walker

Wellsville - Ferne R. (Emig) Walker, 88, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Gettysburg Center - Genesis. She was the wife of the late Elmer P. Walker. A celebration of life service will be private at the convenience of the family. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home Inc, 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry, is in charge of arrangements. Born November 24, 1921 in Fairview Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Priscilla (Crist) Emig. She was employed at Ski Roundtop where she worked in the janitorial department for 25 years until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Walker is survived by a son Kenneth R. Myers and wife Margaret, of E. Berlin, two grandchildren, Tom Myers and wife Beth, Lois Snell and husband Bryan, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Lester of Greencastle and Ruby Crimmins of Wellsville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon R. Myers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gettysburg Center - Genesis, 867 York, Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
