BROGUE- Fern A. (Tyson) Saylor, 80, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services, Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Saylor, who passed away on August 22, 2001. The couple had been married for 50 years. A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Peter Beddia officiating. Viewings will be from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday and 9-10 a.m. on Monday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Saylor was born on March 12, 1931 in York, a daughter of the late Sterling and Edna Almeda (Goheen) Tyson. Fern worked as a spot welder for Gichner Mobile Systems. She later worked for Jerrys Food Rite then Weis Market in Red Lion. Mrs. Saylor is survived by a daughter, JoAnn A. Bupp and her husband, Mark of Brogue; a granddaughter Jolynn (Ruppert) Varano and her husband, David of York; six brothers, Walter Tyson, Sr. of Red Lion, Ralph Tyson of Red Lion, Harold Tyson and his wife, Linda of Red Lion, Nevin Tyson and his wife, Dawn of Windsor, Harry Tyson and his wife, Darlene of Red Lion, and Donald Tyson of Windsor; four sisters, Mary Jamison and her husband, Terry of Red Lion, Bonnie Winters of Dallastown, Janet Pomraning of Spry, and Linda Ness and her husband, Thomas of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Beaverson and Leona Rae Tyson; two brother in laws, Lester Beaverson and Elmer Pomraning; and three sister in laws, Betty Tyson, Doris Tyson and Phyllis Tyson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Pre-School, P.O. Box 114, Brogue, PA 17309.
