Fanny F. (Gangemi) Sneeringer

YORK - Fanny F. (Gangemi) Sneeringer, 101, died on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Sneeringer, who died in 1961. Services are at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born on October 4, 1912 in Delianova, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary E. (Constanzo) Gangemi. Fanny was a spot welder for Cole Steel for 23 years until her retirement in 1975. After retiring, she worked part time as a prep cook for Corner Stable Restaurant for over 30 years. Mrs. Sneeringer enjoyed bowling, crocheting and playing bingo at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Sneeringer is survived by two sons, Arthur Sharp and his wife, Maria of Goldsboro, N.C. and Edward Sneeringer and his wife, Elizabeth of York; one daughter, Sharon Sneeringer and her fiancé, Douglas Nesbit of York; two brothers, Paul and Sam Ganjami; and a half sister, Angie Lewis of Erie. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martina Welty and Ginny Atkins.
